The Prodigy to Play at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2009

BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend isn't just called 'big' for nothing. They've only gone and got one of the biggest bands they could get their hands on.

The Prodigy (left) has been added to the line-up for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Swindon and will headline on Sunday 10th May, 2009.

They join the other artists that were announced last week, including the likes of Snow Patrol, Lily Allen, Kasabian, Ne-Yo, Franz Ferdinand and Akon.

Jason Carter, Editor of BBC Live Events, says: “We’re delighted to have landed The Prodigy to headline Swindon on Sunday 10th May.

“They’re a superb live act and we’ve been working very hard to get them in on the show as a late addition. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic weekend of live music.”
