New Order are a band so deeply entrenched in UK music folklore that we're sure we shouldn't need to give them any introduction. But for those of you who do, born out of the ashes of Joy Divison, New Order transformed popular music, giving it an electronic edge and making history with their track Blue Monday.

Following this year’s wildly successful sell-out which attracted over 45,000 people, the amazing team at On The Waterfront has announced its return to Liverpool’s Pier Head in 2024, kickstarting the summer for another series of stunning shows and live performances; and for this year's Sunday edition, none other than the legendary Deacon Blue will be headlining!
There are few acts with such a renowned repertoire, combined with the legendary act returning to the city which has long held a special place in the band's collective heart is sure to make this a show not to be missed!

GZA, aka the Genius, was the most cerebral MC in the Wu-Tang Clan, as well as perhaps the most acclaimed. His cool, precise flow and intricate, literate rhymes weren’t as theatrical as Method Man or Ol’ Dirty Bastard, but among hip-hop aficionados, GZA was revered for his flawless technique and lyrical dexterity and was considered by many to be the best pure rapper in the entire Clan.
At this epic intimate show at The Blues Kitchen in Manchester, GZA will perform his critically acclaimed Liquid Swords album with his live band The Phunky Nomads. This is a bucket list gig for any fans of old-school Hip-Hop, just be warned, tickets will go quickly for this one so don't hang about.

Peter Hook & The Light: An Evening of Music & Conversation
When: Friday 12th April 2024
Where: The Star And Garter in Manchester
On Friday 12th April 2024, Peter Hook & The Light are set to play an intimate mental health fundraiser at Manchester’s Star & Garter, one of Manchester's best-loved independent live music venues. The event will take place in memory of Joy Division's Ian Curtis who tragically lost his life to suicide back in May 1980 - and takes place 7-months after a mural of the singer was painted on the side of the Grade II listed venue.
The one-off event will see Peter Hook, founding member of Joy Division & New Order, take part in a hosted Q&A, discussing his time with Joy Division, as well as his close friendship with Curtis. Later in the evening, Hook will be joined on stage by his band to play an exclusive Joy Division set to just 200 lucky fans.
