The Warehouse Project began their annual three month campaign of club nights at the newly renovated, Manchester city centre venue - Depot Mayfield on Friday 20th September. The abandoned train station turned 10,000 capacity mega club welcomed some of the biggest names across multiple genres of dance music.
The enigmatic and highly influential electronic artist Aphex Twin curated a special opening event, which saw supporting performances from the likes of Nina Kraviz and Lee Gamble.
The following 'Welcome to the Depot' event featured a colossal bill. Maribou State with vocalist Holly Walker, Disclosure, Mall Grab and radio one tastemaker Annie Mac all performed to huge audiences on the Depot stage, whereas the likes of Skream, who executed a masterful back-to-back set with Dubliner Krystal Klear, Mella Dee, Paul Woolford, Leon Vynehall, Dan Shake, Baba Stiltz, KETTAMA, SHERELLE, Louise Chen and Jaguar also played to equally large numbers on the Archive and Concourse stages.
As the dust begins to settle and preparations for next weekend's events begin, we take a look back at some of the best captured moments from what was a truly astronomical opening weekend for the renowned Manchester club brand.
