Saturday 15th July sees District, in Liverpool’s lively Baltic Triangle area, open its doors for a ten-hour marathon of house and techno music in aid of homeless charity Crisis.
The Waveform Transmitter, an electronic music magazine based in Liverpool, is set to release a compilation of electronic music, House for the Homeless, which sees artists from across the global underground dance scene contributing tracks. 100% of the proceeds from the record will go directly to Crisis. More details, such as the artists set to contribute to the compilation, can be found here.
To celebrate the launch of the record, the mag has put together an evening of eclectic electronics which sees several artists making their Liverpool debut. The line-up looks to be shaping up quite nicely, with Daniel Steinberg and Kristin Velvet, both of Arms and Legs Records, swooping in from Berlin to Liverpool (both for the first time) to get behind the wheels.
In addition, Holland’s most promising new producer, Odette, will be heading across the North Sea, again setting foot on scouse soil for the first time, to demonstrate exactly why she’s been making waves over on the continent.
Local legends from 303, Kenny and Gemma Muir will be laying down some of their usual glorious beats, bleeps, and basslines, while Melōs have kindly donated the services of their resident DJ, Rosencrantz. Support comes courtesy of Rhyce Tyrell and Liam Pickup, who will be warming attendees up in the Yard from 6 pm – 8 pm.
