THE XCERTS

Impossibly young Scottish trio THE XCERTS have been announced as main support to Brakes on their UK tour, as well as supporting Make Model on a series of Scottish dates.  To coincide with the tours, THE XCERTS will release their track 'Just Go Home' as an iTunes-only release on 12 November. A highly limited number of copies will also be sold on tour, each with an individual Polaroid taken by the band.

THE XCERTS' live show - rarely confined to the stage - has already been honed through gigs with Biffy Clyro, The Ataris and Bat for Lashes among others, and their intense strand of intelligent, distorted pop never fails to make an impact. Their limited edition single 'Breathtaking Flight' (released through One Records) received plays on Radio 1, XFM and 6Music, while follow-up 'My Book Laughs' also gained huge exposure on MTV2.

Citing influences as varied as Death Cab for Cutie, Mogwai and The Police and compared to the likes of Idlewild, The Jam and Brand New, THE XCERTS combine clean and clever melodies with triumphant rock riffs to create instantly memorable songs dripping in raw power.

"Ludicrously punchy"
- Steve Lamacq
"'My Book Laughs' is a thundering student disco floor-filler"
- Drowned in Sound
"A fucking great band...blessed with an ace frontman,
this is a band for the future"
- Kerrang!
