Unfortunately, with rising costs, as well as environmental and animal concerns surrounding it, Newcastle Council will once again not be putting on any official Bonfire Night Events this year. However, in and around the Tyne area, many of the towns from Gateshead to North Shields will be putting on local affairs that fill the sky with explosions of colour and light instead!

But do not fear about having to travel too far, as all these events are 45 minutes or less away from the city centre, and you can still get the family together, be warmed by the bonfire, and watch the spectacle unfold. So, if you're wondering where to watch the fireworks in Newcastle and the surrounding towns, then we've got a list here for you!

So, without further ado, let's light the match and shoot off to one of these sensational fireworks displays in Newcastle!
