Whether it be Oxford University or Oxford Brookes you are officially in the percentage of uni students considered as prestige. And amongst your great academic knowledge, you should also know where Oxford's best student bars and clubs are. 

So to help you be top of the going out class, we have a nice lengthy list that you can study and familiarise yourself with. After a terrible loss like Atik, there are still loads of options that range from underground student-heavy clubs to trendy cocktail bars doused in history; expect some student bars and clubs like no other.

The Bridge

First up we have a big contender, and that’s no other than The Bridge Club, a solid favourite among the Oxford student clubs. The Bridge is a classic option, that plays every genre imaginable from garage, rnb, house and more. It’s the prime location in Oxford, especially for students.

Plush the button (get it?) If not that's okay because either way, this is an iconic Oxford student club. Not only that it's also a gay club that has more themed nights than you can imagine. From Tequila Tuesdays,  where you can get 5 tequila shots for £10, 3 tequila cream for £5 and 3 coronas for £11.99. Plus with live acts and resident DJs this is not one to miss off your checklist

Glamorous Oxford

Another Oxford student club to put on your radar is no other than Glamorous. Though the name speaks for itself they also have Kapownd Thursdays, where drinks start from just £1 between 9 pm - 3 am to being open every Wednesday from 6 pm to midnight. What not to find glamorous about it?

Fever

Going down a retro route we have Fever which is only open every Friday and Sunday until 3 am. This Oxford student club is a fan-favourite churning out guilty pleasure club nights that'll have you coming back for more. Plus with their glitterballs, DJs and changing colour dancefloor, it'd be hard to say no, right?

The Varsity Club

What’s better than a club with 1 level? A club with 4; and the place to find that is no other than the Varsity Club. With their 4 floors, you can get your fix of cocktails, a nightclub and a rooftop lounge. Open 7 days a week and til 2 on a Saturday this is the ultimatum Oxford student club

A late-night cocktail bar that turns into a vibrant club? What more could you ask for? Located slap bang in the city centre this is an ideal Oxford student club. With live DJs every night, a heated shisha garden and a dance floor you can’t beat it.

This cocktail bar is a fan favourite, known for its incredible cocktails, fantastic gin and even better music. This is a solid choice if you're looking for a Oxford student bar with a touch of classy fun.

Not to confuse it with Oxford’s all-male dining club, THE Bullingdon is Oxford's leading live music venue, popular for dishing out some indie best. With over 135+ years worth of history and many cocktails to choose from, you can get a great mixture of comedy and live music from some leading comedians and DJs.

With wonderfully crafted cocktails that'll guarantee to warm the soul on colder nights; it's the perfect place when you're looking for a little downtime with your uni pals.  

 


 

Tap Social Movement

When you need a chill space after lectures you can head to the Tap Social Movement, a brewery that grew out of a passion for good beer and social justice. However, what makes this bar even cooler is the fact that it's more than just a brewery; it also offers employment to those released from prison. So enjoy a cold one at one of Oxford's coolest bars.

Cricketers Arms

Labelled as a treasure of a pub in Oxford, the Turf Taven is a haven for Oxford students. The Turf Taven is a historical pub that's located just outside of Oxford's city walls. in the summer they hold a pub quiz that they welcome everyone to join in to win the chance of £100 or 2 bottles then in the winter have a beer festival where you can try all the beer you fancy. No wonder it's an Oxford student bar treasure.
