November is here and its one mammoth month! With so much going on in the city it’s clear that we will “remember, remember” November 2013 for more reasons than a few anti-climatic fireworks and burnt out sparklers. The bar has been set high and a huge array of events has really set off the party season with a bang.

On Friday 1st November, we kick the month off with an event that has been the talk of the town for weeks! HomoElectric return but there is an air on intrigue surrounding this months offering. It’s all one big secret! With the venue promised to be ‘a quite extraordinary place’ and a selection of mystery guests, we know Jamie Bull & Co won’t disappoint. Expect the unexpected, but expect to dance no-stop.

It’s a hot month for the Now Wave chaps and the first week of November sees two cracking gigs at one of out favourite venues, The Ritz. First up we have the bewitchingly wonderful Steve Mason on Saturday 2nd and also critically acclaimed Mount Kimbie on Thursday 7th (check out their album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth for evidence of their woozy genius).

Its still Warehouse Project season and Friday 8th is the return of WHP fave Annie Mac. Taking place at the impressive Victoria Warehouse, the queen of the dance music airwaves will be joined by Major Lazer, Chromeo, Diplo, Erol Alkan and huge array ad dance maestros, including hot female vocalist and‘one to watch’ Lulu James.

Saturday 9th we suggest you get yourselves across to Sound Control where Lowdown & Dirty present Alex Metric. A DJ and Producer who needs little introduction, he can boast of an impressive number of EPs and remixes of artists such as NERD, Depeche Mode, Bloc Party and Phoenix this night is going to go off.

Manchester clubland wouldn’t be Manchester without the Madchester scene and you can have your fix at The Ritz on Friday 15th when Happy Mondays take to the stage. Down the road at Academy, Manchester’s prodigal son Liam Gallagher brings his Beady Eye to also making their mark on the very same night.

Friday 22nd brings the unadulterated electro-acoustic musings of Italian duo Satelliti & the genre-fusing electro-thrashing Barberos under one roof. In the intimate, chic, New York-esque surroundings of Kosmonaut is where it’s all due to happen and we couldn’t have thought of anywhere more perfect for this power pair-up. Hats off to Grey Lantern and Trojan Horse!

It’s someone’s birthday on Saturday 23rd November... Funkademia are 18! You can not miss this milestone moment which will be taking place at Mint Lounge. Not many club-nights in Manchester make it to this ripe old age, but Funkademia are an institution. Expect treats and surprises all night long from the Funkademia regulars. The voice behind the Skiddle Podcast David Dunne is in the main room with Myk Nolan in the Baby Funk room. Funk, Soul, Hip-Hop, House and pure Funkademia classics will be full throttle all night long. It is, no doubt, due to be one hell of a celebration!
