Shoreditch is one of the most popular areas in London. It's popular with locals for the sheer amount of things to do and that in turn brings people from all over to the area to get a taste of the Shoreditch experience. From unique bars to record stores and vintage shops, there's so much to do that makes Shoreditch worthy of repeat visits. Here are the best things to do in Shoreditch.

Visit Rough Trade

Rough Trade is an iconic record store and label. They have a limited around of stores across the UK and one over in New York. The Shoreditch branch has an enviable amount of choice and you will find any genre of music within this huge collection. There's a tage too for in-store performances which take place every other day.

Take a trip down Brick Lane

Brick Lane is the centrepiece of Shoreditch. A bustling street that often hosts markets, it is lined with vintage stores and independent stores selling all kinds of things. There's also a few quality takeaways too, which means that Brick Lane has enough to keep you going for a long time as you browse away.

Eat out at Dishoom

Dishoom is one of the best Indian chains that you'll find and they have a few branches across London. The Shoreditch location is one of the best and they have a beautiful lounge-like area attached to the restaurant. You can eat here without breaking the bank and it will be some of the best Indian food that you ever had.

Take a look at the street art

It is hard to find a street in Shoreditch without any graffiti on it at this point. It is all exquisite artwork though and it's part of what makes Shoreditch such a desirable location in the first place. Whether you're looking for an Instagram picture or just like looking at pretty things, you're spoilt for choice in Shoreditch.

Pick up some vintage clothing

Shoreditch is rife with vintage clothing shops and you can definitely pick up a bargain if you look close enough. There are so many unique pieces to be found and there's something that will fit into anyone's fashion style. From vintage Levi's to Adidas track tops and leather jackets, there's plenty on offer.

Visit Boxpark

Boxpark is hard to miss with it being right next to Shoreditch High Street station. Made up of various repurposed shipping containers, it hosts stores for multiple independent retailers. As well as shopping, it'll fulfill your food and drink needs too with a bar situated on top of it that is always buzzing with people.

Go to a gig at Village Underground

Village Underground is a venue that you can spot by looking at the rooftops and spotting an old tube carriage on top of it. Once inside, you'll find a spacious venue that has hosted plenty of big names down the year. They have an eclectic mix of artists booked too from electronic artists to indie rock.

Go clubbing at XOYO

You'll be in luck if electronic music is your thing as XOYO always has an excellent mixture of talent from the EDM world playing their club. That's not all they play though, as talented DJs from all genres are invited down to this underground club that somehow still feels like a secret when you're there.

Take a trip to Ballie Ballerson

The main part of going to Ballie Ballerson is of course the ball pit that they have. Once you've had a few drinks, become a child again as you hop straight into a ball pit where all of a sudden you don't have to think anymore. There's always fun to be had in this bar with a twist.

Have a pint at Bar Kick

Bar Kick is a bar where not only can you watch all the live sport that you could imagine but you can play football too. So, if your team is disappointing you or a mate is getting a bit too gobby then challenge them to a few rounds. They also serve some incredible food too and a great selection of craft beer.
