Friday

Friday night sees Sankeys new session Recentes join forces with Just Skank; the cross-genre underground  night crossing swords with the bass music protagonists for what's set to be an out of the box musical soundclash.  Topping the bill is Circus Circus Records’ stalwart Funtcase; his savage and relentless trademark sound primed to show the full ferocity of dubstep at its most devastating. There’s then some drum and bass action from the hotly-tipped UK wide ensemble Shadow Demon Coalition - their numbers represented by East London’s DJ Sly alongside West Midlands hero Bassman -  and Manchester’s emcee talent Trigga. Flanking their excursions will be a more soulful and Technicolor offering from the Brookes Brothers, who cap off this rip-roaring session.

Saturday

Saturday night brings a carnival twist to the Ancoats club in the form of the vibrant Sankeys Fiesta. The headline slot this weekend falls to a very special back to back set from Gallic crusaders Shonky and Seuil, their intertwining histories in the Parisian club scene coming to shape in the focus of gloriously groove-heavy house music. They will be joined by Israeli chanteuse Maayan Nidam, whose gorgeous journeys through the more visceral textures of house betray her relocation to Berlin whether under her own name or her Miss Fitz moniker. Hypercolour’s UK legend in the making Tom Demac returns to Sankeys after his show-stopping performances in 2012, Animal Farm Records’ Bleak play live, whilst Cecille signings and Maceo Plex favourites H2 head up a strong selection of resident support.
