Liverpool's grass roots celebration of art across all formats has announced a series of artists for this year's festival - read on to learn who will be playing.

There's an abundance of artists and information we've got to let you in on regarding Liverpool's Threshold Festival, who sent us a bumper list of new artists playing at this year's Baltic Triangle housed shindig. They include pop-punk trio Sheepy (watch the video to 'Little Chatterbox' below), Liverpool Norwegian cross pollination folk rockers Kalandra, soul drenched guitarist Tyler Mensah and local hip-hop legend DJ Rasp.
They'll be joining the already confirmed a hotlist of performers that includes The Destroyers, Dub Mafia, Gideon Conn, Natalie McCool and Broken Men. Summing up the erudite fun on offer at the Threshold, The Destroyers display the kind of madcap musical mayhem which has been a fixture at several of the city's events around the Ropewalks region, in particular Mello Mello and the Kazimer. The festival themselves have coined the term 'Megafolk Mentalism' and it's hard to disagree with the term when watching the lunacy unfold on the below video.
The festival will take place for the fourth time in 2014, with a strict emphasis on celebrating arts across music, theatre and literature in the cultural centre of the city. As a ringing endorsement of the diversity and creativity at the heart of the city it'sa been quickly taken to the hearts of the locals (and quite a few out of towners), with this year's submissions for places on the performance roster hitting record levels.
