Tickets for the debut edition of Leighton Live, a brand new music festival coming to the Carnforth, Lancashire over the Queens Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend this June, are now on sale.
The already highly anticipated event is set to welcome a score of music legends - Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th June 2022 - to perform on stage amidst the idyllic sweeping grounds of the Grade II listed, Leighton Hall Estate.
Launching the first-ever instalment of the festival, reggae favourites UB40 with original frontman, Ali Campbell will supply fans with a set chock full of the groups biggest hits - from ‘Red Red Wine’ and ‘I Got You Babe’, to ‘(I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You’ and more. Supporting them, popular sound system crew, Reggae Roast will shake the ground beneath the remarkable gothic manor house, delivering a danceable soundtrack through the day.
Saturday will see a brand new concept from global dance brand, Ministry Of Sound, as they present the Ministry Of Sound Funk & Soul band. The breathtaking, fifteen-strong ensemble will bring a setlist well-stocked with some of the biggest jams of the past fifty years. Expect hits from Daft Punk, Michael Jackson, Stardust and iconic disco band, CHIC. fellow disco pioneers, Sister Sledge will also entertain the masses in attendance, returning to Lancashire for the second time in four years this summer, alongside DJ Graeme Park and Manchester's longest running club night, Funkademia.
Rounding off an extraordinary occasion, Manchester's Halle Orchestra will bring a sophisticated end to the weekend's festivities. Performing their Last Night Of The Proms show, surrounded by stunning natural vistas and with an epic firework crescendo planned - this last but by no means least display is one you won't want to miss!
