Manchester Pride hits the city on August bank holiday weekend to celebrate the LGBT community, with a string of celebrity faces on hand to provide the musical entertainment. The charity campaigns for equality, whilst challenging discrimination, and helps to raise money for LGBT and HIV causes in the region.
Performing at this year's event is former Spice Girl Melanie C, who has released seven studio albums in her own right, and will hit the Thomas Cook Airlines USA stage for an exclusive show. She's joined by a duo of X Factor contestants, 2015 winner Louisa Johnson, the competition's youngest ever victor, and 2016 runner-up Saara Aalto.
Gok Wan will be making the switch from dresses to decks as he earns his selector stripes as a 90s deep house and reggae DJ, in what is set to be a glorious party across Manchester's Gay Village.
