2014 might still be a way off but we look forward to one of it's biggest parties yet - mUmU's Siuxth Birthday.

Liverpool's house and techno landscape has always had a glistening structure. In the nineties the takeover of the world by Cream was backed up by the underground surge of Voodoo, whilst Bugged Out had a joyous reign as that decade melted into the last one. Circus would pick up the mantle too, and then one party in the last six years has really encapsulated the thrust of modern techno like no other.
That soiree is mUmU, and on February 1st next year they turn six in the manner that only they know how, with a jaw dropping ensemble of talent spread across the cream of the underground. In those 312 weeks they've utilised 20 venues in Liverpool (this event takes place in the New Bird Street Warehouse and Kitchen Street pop up), nine further in London (including Fabric) and also hit up spots in Ibiza, Belfast, Glasgow and Manchester, creating a truly fully wide ranging vision of what four to four electronic excellence should be about.
Top of the bill is none other than Radio Slave, the pseudonym for Matt Edwards which has become synonymous with only the finest house and techno over the past decade. Meticulously crafted strung out productions and DJ sets remain his calling card (check out his near half an hour re-imagining of DJ Hell and P Diddy above), making him the perfect choice to see out six years for the clubnight as they herald in their seventh.
He'll be joined by Bek Audio's Gary Beck, the Scottish techno tyrant behind some of the darkest, druggiest workouts in recent memory. Ostgut Ton producer and Panoramabar mainstay Ryan Elliot, Fuse's Seb Zito and Circo Loco tyro and mUmU favourite Clve Henry round off the guests, whilst Lee Rands, Ian Dixon, Scott Grant and previous Skiddle mix deliverers Henry St Social (check out their effort below) make up the friends and family.
