It’s that time of year again where we prepare to lose a few fillings tucking into toffee apple, singe our eyebrows by standing scarily close to a fiery furnace, and get slightly too tipsy whilst watching the sky turn into a myriad of multicoloured explosions. There's nothing quite like the atmosphere of bonfire night, that's why we've decided to have a look at some of our favourite Bonfire and Fireworks nights around the UK this November.

Hop Farm Fireworks Spectacular

First up is Hop Farm's long standing Fireworks Spectacular. Held over two nights (Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd November) in the heart of Kent’s stunning countryside, The Hop Farm Fireworks Spectacular features a full on funfair with rides for all ages, an animal farm, 4D cinema, and a magic castle. From 3pm the gates of the farm open for everyone from the family to enjoy the sights and sounds of Hop Farm, before 9pm heralds in one of the most incredible fireworks displays this side of China.

Annual Grasshoppers Firework Display

Back up north, Preston is the unlikely venue for one of the busiest and most talked about Fireworks events in the country. The Grasshoppers Rugby Club holds its annual bonfire and fireworks display on the 5th of November, which draws in a mammoth crowd from right across Lancashire. With a fully functioning bar, a funfair to keep everyone entertained and a fireworks display curated with significant skill and extensive preparations, its no wonder that this is one of the busiest events in Lancashire. Advance tickets are a mere fiver, with family tickets going for £15.

Dames and Flames Bonfire Burlesque

Telford's Warehouse in Chester adds a creative twist to the classic bonfire theme, by throwing a Dames and Flames Bonfire Burlesque Spectacular. Expect to witness an exhilarating mixture of old sci fi movies, thirteen different burlesque starlets with an added science fiction flavour, and of course a fireworks and bonfire display to match the racy style of the other entertainment. For those looking for something a little different (providing of course that you’re over eighteen) this might just be your destination on 5th November.

Dodgy Back to Back Bonfire Night

British Britpop trio Dodgy provide the soundtrack to Salisbury's Bonfire blast, held at The Rainbow On The Lake. This more intimate venue will provide a night full of live acts, followed by a break for the fireworks, after which Dodgy take centre stage with their own brand of Northern Soul flavoured indie pop, bringing the perfect party vibe to Wiltshire. Children under twelve go free, making this the ideal family friendly 5th November soiree.
