Transmission Funk bring some of techno's rowdiest protagonists to Joshua Brooks on January 23rd

Transmission Funk are back and in fine form, with their January 23rd party at Joshua Brooks looking to treat Manchester's techno fiends to a line up brimming with a trio of dark and unforgiving techno maestros.
If there was ever any proof needed that Transmission Funk have their ear to the ground for cutting edge techno, then this line up is it. Heading things up will be techno's young hope, Happa, who despite being just 17 years old, is in need of little introduction.
Having been thrust into the scene back in 2012 at the behest of everyone from Four Tet to Loefah, Happa has truly found his calling in the murkiest, industrial realms of techno brutality, highlighted with his recent contribution to Perc Trax 10 year compilation (listen to the magnificent 'To Die Hating Them' above), and the launch of his hugely promising label PT/5.
Heavy, crude, and fully formed for the dancefloor, Randomer has enjoyed another sterling year in his career, as his mangled, distorted but unmistakeably floor focused output continues to hit the spot with supreme EPs landing on Clone, Russian Torrent Versions and L.I.E.S. Check him out in the Boiler Room above to see what goodness lies in store.
Running an imprint called South London Analogue Material, you get a slight inkling as to what aesthetic Ansome's music encapsulates.
Having knocked out two lengthy, pummelling EPs on SLAM (experience 'Tin' above), as well as contributing the Penny & Pound EP to MORD Record's faultless year, Ansome has shown time and again that he is a producer with a shed load of talent, reliably wading through dank, forceful landscapes underpinned with broken techno tropes that show off a real sense of creative freedom.
