The film world is not short of its killer combinations between director and composer - David Lynch and Angelo Badalementi, Alfred Hitchcock and Bernard Herrmann, Darren Aronofsky and Clint Mansell, and perhaps most famously Steven Spielberg and John Williams - but the modern dream team must surely be David Fincher and Trent Reznor.
The two have worked on Fincher's last three movies - Gone Girl, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and The Social Network, the latter of which won a Best Original Score Oscar. Now the duo have teamed up on a new project - to bring Fincher's 1999 movie Fight Club to Broadway in the form of a rock opera. Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk is also involved.
The idea might not fill you with confidence, but with both Reznor, Fincher and Palahniuk behind it, it could easily wind up being an absolute masterpiece.
