Type @ The Island

For the last seven years it’s been the undisputed jewel in London’s clubbing crown. Now Type announces the next chapter in its history with a massive new residency at the capital’s hottest underground club, The Island.

Saturday December 1st sees Seb Fontaine, Cicada, Luke Dzierzek, Damian Wilson, Jay P, Zak Radak and Stimpy take on the full force of The Island’s phenomenal FunkTion 1 sound system, and clubbers are already beating down the doors in anticipation.

It’s no surprise. Type is, without a doubt, a night that defined a huge section of dance music fans. Names that lit up the dance floor over the years read like a who’s who of clubland: Annie Mac, Green Velvet, Jon Carter, Norman Cook, Erick Morillo, X-Press 2, Timo Maas – the list goes on and on.

Now in their new home of The Island it’s only going to get bigger and better. 2008 will see the Type family roll out a mouth watering selection of Grade A parties with huge headliners every other month. London is in for one hell of a musical treat.

Advance tickets for the December 1st party are priced at £12 and are on sale now at www.theisland-london.com. This WILL be a sell out event so make sure you get yours now and avoid disappointment. If you do want to live by the seat of your pants and leave it to the last minute, if there are tickets left on the door they’ll be £15.
