Underground hosts a strong line up for the beginning of 2017
We look at the Liverpool club's first run of shows this year, featuring Chris Liebing, Franky Rizardo, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Mark Knight and more.

Despite being one of Liverpool's newest clubbing spaces, it's taken little time for Underground to make a real mark on the city - it's 1000 capacity main room has seen the likes of Ben Klock, Ame and Magda perform in the opening few months, and it's selective dancefloor focused music policy has made it a prime destination for clubbers wanting to lap up the best clubbing experiences.
Sanity
January 21st belongs to Sanity events, who summon Chocolate Puma, creators of the noughties classic 'I Wanna Be You' to share the bill with prolific electro house remixers MOKSI and up and comer Curbi.
Masq: 2nd Birthday
Everyone dons masks and cuts loose to house, techno and tech house when Masq takeover the club on January 27th, with Jay Lumen, J Daly and Makes no Sense manning the DJ booth.
Toolroom Live
February 4th sees the mighty Toolroom Empire make its long overdue return to Liverpool. Mark Knight and Dosem bring the brands notoriously funk laden, banging house and techno to the club.
Sonny Fodera Frequently Flying Tour
Aussie ex-pat house music hero Sonny Fodera dropped his debut album Frequently Flying at the tail end of last year, a record full of his signature slinky bass heavy house cuts which have been detonating dancefloors across the globe. The Defected man has nine dates in total lined up for the tour, with this his first gig in Liverpool for over three years.
Exit with Franky Rizardo
Following their sellout show last year and a season spent tearing up Sankeys Ibiza, Exit return to Underground on February 25th with Defected Records and Simma Black favourite Franky Rizardo joining Do Not Sleep affiliated young gun Tommy Vercetti (listen to 'I Miss You' below) and the ever reliable Exit residents.
Vintage 1st Birthday
As we head into March classic and retro house is the order of the day as Vintage celebrates its first birthday. Long-serving Cream DJ Anton Powers is in charge of soundtracking the celebrations on the 11th.
Underground presents Chris Liebing
Underground opened with the dark, rumbling techno of Ben Klock in October 2016, with the next onslaught of the sound a full five months on. The wait is worth it though, with Chris Liebing's first Liverpool show in half a decade taking centre stage on a St Patrick's Day special.
Floorpiece 001 with Samu.L
The deep and dubby sounds of One Records stalwart Samu.l take centre stage as clubnight and record label Floorpiece makes its debut on March 18th. Burnski, Haydn, Kerouac & SMILE, and the Floorpiece residents are also involved.
Percolate Liverpool Launch with MCDE & Jeremy Underground
The final announcement for the club comes in the shape of the presence of electronic aristocrats Percolate, who fresh from stellar showcases in Newcastle, Manchester and London make their Liveprool debut with Motor City Drum Ensemble and Jeremy Underground manning the decks.
