Ben Deily needs no introduction. As the founder member of THE LEMONHEADS, Ben was responsible for most of the finest moments on the LEMONHEADS first three albums, before splitting with Evan Dando who would in turn mould the LEMONHEADS into the mass grunge –pop multi –selling pioneers they became.

VARSITY DRAG is the latest musical project from Ben Deily. Relocated to San Francisco, “FOR CRYING OUT LOUD” features nine perfectly crafted Deily-penned songs and shows that over the last decade he has lost none of his unique genius for writing crafty power pop-punk rock gems.

Inspired by a mutual love of Replacements, Big Star, Beach Boys and Fountains of Wayne, VARSITY DRAG came into being because, in Ben’s own words “Stalkers make the best bandmates. These beautiful guys from a band called UNBALANCED tracked me over the internet, got me to one of their shows (I was blown away), and eventually got me on stage and in the studio for the first time in years.”

The end result is “For Crying Out Loud.” Ladies and gentlemen, it was more than worth the wait.
