Venue Focus: Gatecrasher Birmingham

Undoubtedly one of the country's most iconic clubbing brands, Gatecrasher Birmingham continues to be a leading light in Midlands nightlife. Outstanding production and a penchant for booking the world's biggest DJs are just two of the key ingredients that make this club one of the country's favourites.

Generation Wild Tour

2014 kicks off with a bang, courtesy of Danny Avila and Deniz Koyu's 'Generation Wild' house music party. Alongside dBerrie, Mikael Weermets and photographer Kirillwashere, the five young talented upstarts set about a stateside tour that dazzled some of the biggest partying homes in the US and Canada.

The 25th of January sees 'Generation Wild' hit the UK for the first time. Check out the tour documentary below to get a taster for what's in store.

R3Hab, Third Party & Kryder

The 8th of February sees a tasty sexy line up of big room house music's finest. One of the founders of the Dutch House movement - R3hab leads proceedings. As a prolific remixer, R3hab has added his touch of class to artists as varied as Yoko Ono to Cher, NERVO to Calvin Harris, installing a distinctive darker edge that falls somewhere under the Dutch house umbrella.

He will be joined by fellow big room specialists Third Party, Kryder, and Lux for a big room bonanza of high octane basslines and bliss.

Chuckie

Carrying on the theme of Dutch House, the originator of Dirty Dutch himelf - Chuckie steams into Birmingham to headline on the 22nd of February. If you've not heard of Chuckie, where have you been hiding?

As one of the biggest players in electronic music, a constant feature on DJ Mag's top 100 DJ list and a prolific headliner at festivals like Tomorrowland (Check out his performance there above), Chuckie is more adept than most at bringing in a party full of fire and feel good vibes. Toolroom Knights

One of Britain's most treasured house producers steps up to the plate on 15th March - Mark Knight. As the man behind all conquering Toolroom Knights, Mark has enjoyed unparalleled success both through his label, his world famous club nights, and his always on point productions, which are more often than not sitting right at the top of Beatport's hallowed charts. He will be joined by D. Ramirez and Prok & Fitch for another barnstorming Toolroom Knights takeover of Gatecrasher.

Paul Oakenfold

May the 4th sees a true legend take to the decks of Gatecrasher - the one and only Paul Oakenfold. Few music careers come anywhere near as impressive as Oakey's, and his sets and productions remain as important to the fabric of clubbing culture as they ever were. More than at home at Gatecrasher, expect a supreme performance from one of the Britain's most important characters in dance music.
