Having been in operation for over a century, Hare and Hounds continues to flex its muscles as an institution for live music that's very much biting across numerous scenes.
It's a huge pull for current and future obsessions, magnetising international and domestic touring artists from across the world to Birmingham.
Looking ahead at highlights in September, the venue whirls a psychedelic storm early on with Nashville twosome Lionlimb checking in on the 7th and cosmic pop trio Methyl Ethel playing on Tuesday 13th September.
On Sunday 18th September, a double hit of the fledgling Toronto alt-rock scene comes in the form of Weaves and Dilly Dally. The Lottery Winners bring some 80's shimmered indie pop on their 'World Tour Of the UK' the night after.
Scoping the back end of the month, California's Colleen Green plugs some gritty garage rock and Cassie Ramone, a co-founder of Vivian Girls, combine for a trans-atlantic showcase on Sunday 25th September.
Eight-piece jazz band Hypnotic Brass Ensemble scale hip hop to rock on Thursday 29th September and Introducing Live recreate DJ Shadow's Endtroducing the following night.
