Sheffield's newest member of the warehouse scene has well and truly made a name for itself as a hub of artistic and creative activity, whilst it's discerning line ups continue to make it the foremost destination for fans of forward thinking underground dance music. We look ahead to two of Hope Works hotly anticipated upcoming shows in April and May.
UK techno most hard hitting duo - Karenn, descend on Hope Works with one of their pulverising hardware sets in the offing. With their no nonsense brutalist take on the genre, Blawan and Pariah's joint project has seen them in demand at some of the most respected techno fests across the globe, with their SheWorks imprint proving to be one of, if not the finest techno imprint to have been launched in the UK in a long time. Check out their uncompromising, balls out Boiler Room set above to see why these guys are so highly acclaimed.
Master of Groove and minimalism Marcus Suckut, Phonica's Lo Shea, local legend and vinyl purist Chris Duckenfield and up and coming dub techno exponent Linnemann round off an irresistibly fierce line up of techno dons.
World renowned creative visionary and Detroit native Carl Craig is next in Hope Works sights. As one of Motor City's most notorious and prolific producers, his cannon boasts a wide and varied path that touches on jazz, house, techno and just about everything in between. Having enjoyed immense success under a wealth of various pseudonyms, Carl Craig remains one of the most exciting, unhindered producers of our time.
He will be joined by one of house and techno's hottest properties at the moment - Midland, as well as Hope Works favourites Lo Shea, Chris Duckenfield and Free-Care. Yet another fantastic line up from Hope Works.
