There's no question that the Mint brand really rings out in Leeds. With the annual Mint Festival becoming one of the biggest dance music events in the north, combined with the colossal might of Mint Warehouse and Mint Club, Mint has established itself as a true master of rave engineering, adept at throwing the most exciting parties and inviting the biggest names in underground dance music to its Yorkshire home.
This year has already seen Mint Club welcome the likes of Apollonia, Damian Lazarus, tINI, Dave Clarke, Joey Beltram and Guti to its Harrison Street locale, with it continuing in much the same vein for April.
After enjoying their most successful year yet in 2013, Innervisions further asserted themselves at the zenith of house and techno with some of the years most lauded releases. The three men responsible prepare to descend on Mint Club on April 5th, armed with their stunning brand of deep, soulful melodic house and techno.
Berlin based mainstay and master of the long DJ set Dixon will go back to back the endlessly talented duo Ame . Both renowned for their genre spanning, deep and downright superior selection skills, this is going to be an essential for fans of quality house and techno. Just check out their set in the Boiler Room (above) to see why these guys are so highly regarded.
Prism take over Mint Club on Easter Sunday with man of the moment Sante at the helm. His Avotre imprint may only be eight releases in, but the calibre of the label is already huge, with its emphasis on stripped back, groovy tech house and house vibes proving irresistible across Europe's biggest clubs.
Called in to play at some of the world's most notorious venues, including Watergate Berlin, Winter Music Conference Miami, Fabric London or the Electronic Music Festival in Brussels, Sante's imaginative, minimal tech sound continues to capture the imagination and move the feet of discerning house music aficionados. Prism favourites Luke Pompey, Alcatraz Harry and Rickie DH ruond off a scorching Easter blowout.
