Despite having only made its mark on the UK clubbing scene in September of this year, Switch has already housed some of dance music's most prestigious artists. Warehouse Presents takes charge of Switch when weekend arrives and with it they bring line ups perfectly tailored for the brand new raving space.
Switch is located in the center of Southampton at 127 Above Bar Street, formally home to Myth. DBP (Dirtybox Promotions), who are responsible for some of the biggest student events, reinvented the space, and have established another avenue of clubbing within the city.
Switch is set to push forward in the up-coming months with more doses of colossal line ups, we've shone a light on the talent that is scheduled for their roster.
A man whose productions have helped define the sound of house music, MK, is headed to Switch on Saturday 4th October. Marc Kinchen has been at the forefront of the genres progression since the nineties and the accessibility and popularity of his music became most apparent when he reached the top of the UK chart. Joining him is Black Butter signed boy wonder Kidnap Kid.
World renowned superstars Groove Armada make their way to Southampton on Saturday 11th October. What began as a series of nights in London soon became one of the planets biggest dance acts, and after years of experimenting, the duo have returned to their house roots and their position behind the decks.
The Hot Creations gang are set to host a label party on Saturday 1st November. Hot Creations churn out releases with a soulful, funky edge, and have snapped up some of house music's brightest up-coming stars.
Co-owner of Hot Creations, Lee Foss, will be headlining the event, joining him is Patrick Topping, who has been a firm favourite at the label for over a year but recently shot to new heights of success following the release of 'Forget' (listen above). Tech house tastemaker wAFF will also be playing.
