Right in the heart of Liverpool's nightlife lies The Boutique, Liverpool's go to venue for nights showcasing the newest movements and fluctuations in the deep and tech house scene. We look ahead to what we can look forward to from the Stanley Street showstoppers.
Hamburg based deep house duo Kruse & Nuernberg join Carpe Diem's roster on March 22nd. Having enjoyed unmitigated success with a string of wicked remixes for the likes of Groove Armada, and Dennis Ferrer, as well as putting out belting records on imprints like Lazy Days, Systematic, Mood Music, Rejected, NRK Music, Liebe*Detail, King Street and Kolour Recordings, the burgeoning duo have announced their importance repeatedly with their finely tuned house sound.
Selador head honchos Dave Seaman and Steve Parry (read our interview with him here) are next to hit The Boutique. Since inaugurating the imprint last year, Selador has already seen its line up joined by Robert Babicz, Samu.L, Darren Emerson, who, combined with Dave Seaman have made a real mark in underground house, tech house and techno. This promises to be a night dripping with quality.
Low Steppa needs little introduction. Since kickstarting his career back at the turn of the century, he’s been producing some of the finest bass music around under various guises, whilst touring the globe and rocking some of the world’s best parties – from EDC in Los Angeles to Womb in Tokyo.
His own imprint Simma Black Records is going from strength to strength, with its roster of releases becoming a staple in many a DJs crate. His Simma black parties too continue to pack out clubs around the world. His appearance at The Boutique will do excatly that.
The 12th of April sees Defected's newest members GotSome head to Liverpool. The two Bristol based beatmakers have shot to notoriety most recently as a duo through their wicked record 'Bassline' (above) which has enjoyed much plaudits from major taste makers like Annie Mac, making it one of Defected's most hotly anticipated release in some time.
With the duo lined up to hit some of the countries biggest festivals this year, this will be an ace chance to see GotSome doing their thing in a more intimate setting. Expect a night brimming with phat basslines, smooth vocals and irresistible grooves.
The always impressive guys at ReSIDE bring Berlin based deep and soulful tech house impresario Santé to Liverpool for one of his effortlessly cool sets. With his Avotre label becoming increasingly renowned for it defying the formulaic nature of a lot of underground tech house, Sante and his crew have single-handedly created a sound unqiuely their own, and one that continues to make them one of the most pivotal labels in the scene.
