Venue Focus: The Prince Of Wales, Brixton

Brixton's Prince Of Wales has been the home to some killer parties recently. with the likes of Dimitri From Paris, Derrick Carter, Danny Krivit and The Reflex soundtracking a series of scorching parties over the past few months.  

With that in mind, we thought we'd shine our light on what The Prince Of Wales has lined up for the rest of the summer, and in trademark fashion there's a whole heap of audible goodness planned for one of Brixton's coolest venues.

Good Times In The Park 3rd August

Mr Notting Hill himself, Norman Jay MBE, brings his accurately names Good Times party to Brixton on the 3rd as an exclusive precursor to his return to the iconic London carnival. Expect to be treated to an array of rare groove gems, classic drum n bass, house, soul and funk (hear some of that above) as he curates an irreverent journey packed with positive vibrations. Running Wild Summer Closing Party 16th August

Running Wild entice a line up of disco, house, bass and techno lords to soundtrack their arrival in Brixton on the 16th August. In true Running Wild style, the artists hooked in exist at the cutting edge of their respective scenes, with the likes of xxxy (check out his Boiler Room slot above), Late Nite Tuff Guy, Eliphino, DJ HMC (Late Nite Tuff Guy's house and techno alter ego) and Fingerman amongst a wealth of others all plying the public with some premium, hot-as-hell beats. Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum Carnival Warm Up 23rd August

We've already extolled our excitement at the prospect of drum n bass veteran Fabio's arrival at The Prince of Wales. The premium rum distillers Wray & Nephew invite the drum n bass patriarch for an exclusive Jamaica meets UK set, who will in turn be joined by Normski, and Skitz and Rodney P (hear their collaboration above) for a banging warm up to the Notting Hill Carnival.
