The Vertigo festival, intriguingly billed as the highest festival in Europe, has sadly announced plans that this year’s festival will not be taking place. There is a silver lining around the news however, with the assurances made it will return a year later. The statement read as follows:
"Here at Vertigo Festival HQ it is with deep sadness that we have been forced to make the decision to postpone this years event. Due to a number of unforeseen paperwork issues and our personal lack of knowledge of the Italian licensing systems we have come to the difficult decision to postpone this years event. Our vision for Vertigo Festival was being placed in jeopardy due to the aforementioned issues and we were not willing to compromise our ticket holders experience. We would like to apologise to our ticket holders for the change in plans, we can promise however that we will be back in 2014 with the most spectacular event with more artists and the best entertainment you can imagine".
Head to the festival’s website for more details.
