Hosted within the picturesque setting of Essex's Chalkwell Park, multi-arts event Village Green Festival returns in July 2017 bringing an exciting line up of a mixture of local and international talent to showcase some literature, arts and music.

The latter of which brings two wonderful headliners, the first of which is Southend's very own Nothing But Thieves. The alt-rock five piece have toured with the likes of Brit rock trio Muse and have played in front of sold-out crowds across the UK, America as well as Japan. This year they come to Village Green to headline in their hometown.

Joining them is Brit School graduate and feminist icon Kate Nash. The singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is best known for her hit 'Foundations', but recently took a heavier, more rock and roll turn with her music, much to the delight of her fans. She now sells out tours across the UK and will be bringing her eclectic tracks from her three albums, as well as brand new tracks to this year's Village Green stage.

Village Green will also host an abundance of local acts to celebrate it's diverse and interesting music scene.
