Wakefield’s newest venue, Tileyard, announces first three events
Tileyard North will be the UK’s largest creative community. In December, they bring Marvin Humes’ Noughties Baby, Bingo Bango, and a Skinny Living gig.

Tileyard North is the newest venue in Wakefield, and the team behind it have just announced the venue’s three events: Marvin Humes' Noughties Baby bash, Bingo Bango, and local band Skinny Living performing live, all in December.
Tileyard North, the sister site to Tileyard London, is set to be the UK’s largest creative community outside of London when regeneration is complete. The new creative hub features recording studios, content spaces, offices, and event venues, decked out with state-of-the-art facilities for photography, music recording, and more.
To celebrate the opening of Tileyard North, the team behind it has announced an event series: "The 12 Dates of Christmas". The programme brings a diverse mix of events to spaces across the hub's venues and spaces, covering pop, stand-up comedy, funky parties, candlelit classical music, and more.
The first event is Marvin Humes’ Noughties Baby, coming to Tileyard North on Friday 6th December 2024. Relive the music of the 00s with Marvin Hume at this non-stop celebration of tunes from 7pm until 11pm. Sign up for tickets now.

Next up will be Bingo Bango. Boasting DJs, comedy, dance-offs, sing-alongs, and prizes (and possibly an appearance from Santa), it's the perfect way to sink into the festive spirit. Expect cheesy bangers, club classics, and nostalgic faves.

The final event they’ve announced (so far, expect more soon!) is Skinny Living. The Wakefield trio bring their hometown show to Tileyard North's 800-capacity venue to celebrate the release of their debut album, Day By Day. Get down for indie-soul tunes.

Ensuring their events are as accessible as possible, the most expensive Christmas event will be £25, and all event timings have been managed around public transport.
