On the second day of Independent Venue Week (Tuesday 30th January) - we made the journey up to a very wintry Edinburgh to witness one of the most exciting live acts in the UK, take on an incredible venue - Sneaky Petes.
Avalanche Party are a live tour de force, combining blues, rock, garage and punk in the most rip roaring fashion to produce damning riffs, hollering vocals and plenty of opportunity to scream along, and through rock'n'roll promoters This Feeling (amongst others), have truly caught people's attention.
Single "I'm So Wet' was spun on Huw Stephen's BBC Introducing Radio 1 the night after their Sneaky Pete's performance - which is a true indication of how well things are going for the band, and when we caught up with them they were in great spirits, telling us about live performances that inspired them, the importance of supporting your local venues and plenty more.
You can check out our interview with Avalanche Party, plus their live performance from Sneaky Petes, below.
