The Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese produced HBO series 'Vinyl' has all the hallmarks of a modern classic. Penned by Terence Winter of Wolf of Wall Street, Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire fame, and covering the sordid underbelly of the music business in 1970s New York, the show promises to indulge us in one of the most exciting and tumultuous times in musical history.
The latest trailer only cements our high hopes, with lead actor Bobby Cannavale looking like an inspired choice to play Richie Finestra, an NYC music executive trying to hustle a music career out of the city's diverse music scene. Drugs, violence, wit and rock and roll aplenty, the show débuts on HBO on Sunday February 14th - it can't come soon enough.
