Wax Format New Year's Eve

Whilst the digital age has brought about some of the most sophisticated and advanced tools at the disposable of the modern day DJ, nothing can ever quite match the tangible excitement of a DJ battling two rotating discs of black plastic, working for all their worth to seamlessly segue a mix together and keep the party bumpin'.

This is exactly what Wax Format celebrates, and for New Year's Eve the vinyl only party descends on the iconic Leeds Warehouse with some of the scene's most central figures hooked in for the occasion, with a three room affair led by a classics extravaganza in the main room.

Taking the headline slot there will be on of the leading figures in progressive and tech trance Guy Ornadel, who will be playing a mammoth five hour set.

It'll no doubt be crammed with the driving trance, trippy techno and energetic house which defined his reign as superclub DJ extraordinaire at the likes of Cream, Passion, Slinky and more (listen to his classic Essential mix above). He will be flanked by trance giant Signum, Fred Baker and Wax Format resident Sam Mitcham.

Those that like their tunes deep and proggy need to check out sets from King Unique and Anjunadeep's talisman Marsh who will be part of the Industria and In Progress hosted room, whilst ravers who like their beats hard and fast will be delighted at the prospect of sets from Ilogik, Anne Savage and M Zone over in the Harder Edge room, also a vinyl only affair. Grab your Wax Format tickets here.
