Following on from last year's resounding success, the mighty Wee Dub returns to the otherworldly vaulted archways of The Cave for a huge roots infused Hogmanay hoedown.

Dreadzone Live at Ostroda Reggae Festival 2012

Headlining Wee Dubs New Year's Eve will be one of the true giants of the UK reggae and dub scene, Dreadzone. They will be treating the Edinburgh crowd to a full on sound system assault with legendary MCs Spee and Earl 16 at the helm.  Escapades coming out this year, accompanied by a worldwide tour coinciding with their 20th anniversary, Dreadzone have shown that they remain a force to be reckoned with and as potent now as they ever were. As one of the first acts to successfully combine sound system culture with a nascent rave scene, Dreadzone lead the way in musical innovation, making them one of the most important acts in British underground music - an absolute must see for fans of the genre. 

Jinx In Dub - Warrior Dub

They will be joined by jungle and dancehall maestro Jinx In Dub, one of the most in demand producers in his field right now. The charismatic wordsmith Parly B will be on the mic as Jinx In Dub smashes out a set of dancefloor destroying dancehall, reggae and jungle, bringing all elements of roots music together in a fashion only he can achieve.

Room one rounds off with up and coming Edinburgh hip hop provocateurs Capitol 1212 alongside Astroboy and DJ Nem. Room two will feature an incredible live AV collaboration between The Too Much Fun Club and Chapel Perilous Art Systemm, with digital dancehall deviants Riddim Tuffa Sound, techno champion Neil Templar as well as Wee Dub residents providing the soundtrack.

Hogmanay has never sounded so good.
