I've been caning our Bass Music Awards special podcast to get me through the week, but fret not, the weekend is almost upon us...
Sunday will see the newly crowned No 1 DJ play Victoria Warehouse, and 2013's winner Hardwell will definitely be there. Before that Goodgreef turn 14 with Paul Oakenfold, Innervisions descend on Leeds, Face turn five with Jamie Jones in Birmingham and Snoop Dogg celebrates his Birthday at Control.
We're also excited about Greg Wilson's Super Weird project hitting Liverpool, Terry Christian's Mad Manc Cabaret, the Future Preston film series bringing sci-fi adventure to our hometown (including Logan's Run, above) and Nicole Moudaber heading up (read our interview with her).
So NYE is incoming! LWE start the ball rolling with an epic NYD announcement. Even further into the future Knockengorroch 2015 is on sale, with dance music titan Nicky Romero hitting the UK a little sooner (next month). On a live tip Flying Lotus and War on Drugs both have upcoming UK dates, whilst there are a handful of Katy B tickets left in Newcastle.
We also had a great chat with Hernan Cattaneo about mix CDs, and another with Craig Charles regarding people nabbing his word awooga. We looked at the future for Aberdeen hedonists Let it Bleed, whilst two albums we haven't been able to get off our stereo have been the efforts from Gorgon City and Caribou, as well as this great Now Wave playlist.
That's me out, final word though goes to something completely different - fancy spending the night with WWE legend William Regal?
