The Summer that never was is now sort of over. Cast that aside and look forward to the fun to be had embracing the longer nights and the longer parties they bring with them, particularly if you're heading off to University (check out our Fresher's guide).

Clubs

It's looking good down south, with Tribal Sessions revealing the line ups for the new residency at Fire in Vauxhall and Gareth Emery bringing his Electric For Life tour to Brixton. For ravers elsewhere in the UK, Andy C has announced a full tour after selling out his London date in ten minutes.

Weekends Matter September 2015 - Guest Mix Sam Divine B2B Simon Dunmore by Skiddle on Mixcloud

Our Ibiza reporter has been busy on the White Isle, reviewing the action at both Glitterbox and Nicole Moudaber's EP launch at Space. Plus we've followed up our resident DJs feature series with Back To Basic's Tristan da Cunha and delivered our September Weekends Matter podcast with a guest mix from Defected's Sam Divine and Simon Dunmore (above).

Festivals

We might be in the final furlong of festival season, but there's still a lot going on. Hannah Wants has joined Mint Festival's enormous line up, Simple Things brings a forward thinking raft of artists to Bristol, and as for ADE's billing, well, jaw-dropping is the word.

We've been busy soaking up festivals across the UK too, having had a blast at Leeds, South West Four and The Garden Party. On the competition front we're positively spoiling you, offering tickets to Vintage by the Sea, and VIP entry, Weekend Offender clobber, free accommodation and a meet and greet of your choice at Scottish dance music extravaganza EH1.

Live Music

The big hitters have been busy rolling out their tour plans. The Maccabees, alt-J and Mumford & Sons are etched firmly on our lists and they're probably coming to a city near you.

Elsewhere our ears have been treated towards Foals magnificent 'What Went Down' and Method Man's long awaited 'Meth Lab'. If listening to the latter gets you in the mood for hip hop, there's plenty of it coming to London's Jazz Cafe.

That's all for me this time, I'm off to try and get someone to come with me to see Straight Outta Compton again.
