A celebration of music, art, food, and culture, Norwich’s Wild Paths Festival is taking over the city for six days of pure entertainment and musical immersion. Here’s some of what you can expect from this quirky little festival.
Over 60 bands, DJs, and artists are on the bill for Wild Paths Festival, each with their own unique sound. Genres range from neo-soul to indie, psych, alt-pop, hip-hop, post-punk, new-wave jazz, and beyond. Performances will be showcased across brilliant and unusual venues, including a church, a library, and a pizza shop.
Wild Path's own beers will be available at St Laurence's Church, where you can also catch Grammy-nominated jazz headliners Blue Lab Beats. And if you want to start the party early, head down to Voodoo Daddy’s pizza shop for their three pre-party shows on the 10th, 11th, and 12th for tunes, Wild Path’s beer on tap, and pizza.
Last Pub Standing will be showcasing some cracking bands in their heated, sheltered garden area, including Prima Queen, an alt-indie band with ethereal guitars that weave intimate, cinematic soundscapes. And SUDS will bring their Midwestern emo and 70s American folk-inspired tunes, too.
Gonzos is another killer venue where the party rages on until 3:30 am. Here, you can dance beneath the disco ball to the sounds of local and international DJs, such as Ross From Friends, Tina Edwards, Effy Mai, and Haseeb Iqbal.
Learn something new and expand your mind by listening to conference speakers. The fascinating topics include Queer Music Landscapes, A Greener Music Industry, and Developing Artists - Engagement & Income, which you can catch at the Access Creative venue.
Close off a week of celebrating unreal live music in style at the church. Wild Path’s famed Late-Night Jazz Jam will keep the party going with mindblowing improvised tunes from 11 pm until 2 am.
So many thrills have been packed into the week, we’ve barely scratched the surface here.
If you haven’t already, secure your tickets for Wild Path’s Festival now to enjoy the hottest new sounds and immerse yourself in music, art, and unbeatable memories.
