Following its successful debut with headliners Primal Scream last year, all day indie gig The British Sound Project returns with a brand new name and a brand new line up at Manchester's Victoria Warehouse.
Indie trio White Lies are the first to be announced in this year's day-long event, one of many huge headliners that the event will unleash. Last year the event saw fourteen bands taking the 5,000 capacity venue, including Eliza and the Bear, Badly Drawn Boy and Glass Caves.
With four albums of post-punk influenced indie rock, the band have unsurprisingly gone on to tour the UK extensively and make appearances at various festivals. With the of their most recent album, Friends, White Lies take their rightful place as a headline act this September.
