Whitney come to the UK later this month

Featuring former members of Smith Westerns, the outift will come to the UK for a slew of festival dates and one off shows before they return for their winter tour in November.

Chicago outfit Whitney will come to the UK this month to play a number of shows before a full run of dates later in the year.

The band were formed following the break up of Smith Westerns in 2014 and earlier this year released their sparkling debut album, Light Upon The Lake. Check out the video for 'No Matter Where We Go' below.

Whitney begin their slew of August dates at Green Man Festival on Sunday 21st August before coming to Birmingham's Hare And Hounds on Tuesday 23rd August. They play Reading Festival on Saturday 27th August then Leeds Festival on Sunday 28th August before a show at Dorset' End Of The Road Festival on Friday 2nd September concludes their summer shows in the UK.

The group then return to the UK for their winter tour. Their run of seven dates begins at Brighton's The Haunt on Thursday 3rd November and ends at London's Koko on Thursday 10th November. They come to Manchester's Gorilla on Tuesday 8th November.
