Nestled in the bucolic country side of Dumfries and Galloway lies one of Scotland's dearest family friendly festivals - Wickerman.

Now firmly placed as one of the countries best-loved independent music festivals, Wickerman embarks on its 2014 campaign with renewed vigor, aiming to follow up on the sell out success that was Wickerman 2013. By the look of the first raft of headliners, it's save to assume that we're in for another killer festival.

Headlining Friday night will be none other than British rap sensation Dizzee Rascal (above). Now with five gamechanging albums under his belt, the Wickerman faithful are in for one of his unbridled, explosive sets showcasing an amped up mix of classic hits from his immense back catalogue.

He'll be joined on the Summerisle Stage by an excitingly eclectic line up in classic Wickerman style, including English pop rock heroes and Ivor Novello winners The Feeling, Motown legends Martha Reeves and The Vandellas (listen to the still stunning Jimmy Mack above), 1960s rock n roll favourites The Zombies (below) and Scottish rock and folk dons Big Country

Wickerman Festival Coordinator Helen Chalmers said about the line up announcement “We are delighted that Dizzee Rascal will be joining the party this year, his live performances are incredible and I can’t wait to see the crowd’s reaction to his headline set. From hip hop, pop, folk to motown and alternative rock, this year’s line up will once again be a truly diverse offering and we look forward to announcing further exciting additions including our Saturday night headliner over the coming weeks.”
