Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def will perform his acclaimed back catalogue with a full live band at O2 Forum in London on Saturday 22nd October. (This is a second date added due to popular demand)
A rapper emerged from the 90's and industrious activist, Yasiin boasts a vast discography under his Mos Def guise. Debut single 'Universal Magnetic' gave him his breakthrough, before the Brookyln born artist hooked up with Taleb Kweli and Hi-Tek for lauded album Black Star.
Stand-out records such as The New Danger, The Ecstatic and Black On Both Sides followed, featuring hits like 'Ms. Fat Booty' (above).
He is joined by Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, a word renowned jazz collective formed between eight sons of Kehlan Phil Cohran - a renowned contributing trumpeter for Sun Ra Arkestra. Together, the two form a landmark jazz and hip hop showcase that gives Yasiin's discography a dynamic like never before.
