One of Manchester’s rising star venues and worst kept secrets continues to steal hearts. On Sunday 26th May, YES have got the remedy to those confused bank holiday Sunday plans. They have announced their own day festival, Yes Fest and they haven’t held back on the dreamy names for the big day.
A notably impressive round up sees the likes of Homeshake, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Willie J Healey, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, Chris Cohen and Scalping, amongst many other stellar names.
Catching the stars who are all enjoying a fine run of form is simply a must. Homeshake is a hot cake amid several UK tour dates after the release of his fourth album, Helium. Psychedelic Porn Crumpets always bring the noise and are ready to blow the roof off following their latest single release, Bill’s Mandolin.
Cardiff outfit Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard are in for a career-defining year in 2019, and will also be celebrating with the lucky attendees with their latest single Late Night City. Willie J Healey is is in prime position to steal the show, after his latest EP 666 Kill has been released with YALA! Records, and will be welcomed back after giving fans a taster of his excellence at the venue in February this year.
Chris Cohen too is having a wonderful year, after receiving great admiration for his self-titled album that set the marker after being released in march this year. Scalping have been quiet on the release front with only two singles publicly to their name so far, but their live performances are far from silent, as Loud and Quiet magazine so eloquently captured. They certainly thrive of a lively crowd.
So many other talented acts will join them on what we hope will be a glorious summer’s day but can guarantee will be a glorious day for both the venue and festivals everywhere.
