Well the Indian Summer may have lasted all but a week and Autumn is well and truly on the ground.

Yet this doesn't mean you have to retreat back indoors ready for the winter blues - there is still much going on in the big city and plenty of events to get your winter coats to.

Here are our picks of the best things happening in London this weekend.

Chilly Gonzales

Grammy-nominated producer and all-round musical genius comes to Soho Theatre courtesy of Soho Theatre and Eat Your Own Ears. Taking over the brand new downstairs space, audiences will be treated to a unique and genre-defying performance to show off his brand new album 'The Unspeakable Chilly Gonzales'. Expect an eclectic mix of sounds, rhythms and visual spectacles.

Friday 7th/Saturday 8th October. Soho Theatre Downstairs. £10-£17.50

London Cocktail Week

The only thing better than the London Restaurant Festival has to be its liquid equivalent - London Cocktail Week! Kicking off on Friday for one week the festival is London's chance to celebrate its long-established and world-class drinking scene. Throughout the week over one hundred of London's drinking establishments will be playing host to the intriguingly-named 'Cocktail Tour', and designing a bespoke cocktail for the occasion at a competitive price. Also on offer are tasting-sessions, masterclasses and cocktail safaris, meaning drinking can be educational after all!

Friday 7th - Sunday 16th October. Various locations. For events listings and wristbands visit the website here.

Fabric presents Rebel Rave and The Nothing Special

Crosstown Rebels' head honcho Damian Lazarus returns to London Mecca Fabric with a few label friends in tow - Art Department and Maceo Plex LIVE, showing 'there ain't no rave like a Rebel Rave'. Joining them in Room 2 is long-time Fabric-resident Craig Richard's new 'Nothing Special' concept, which he describes as "a place to set the scene for Live Acts from across the board". Tonight is the turn of old-school artist Anthony Rother, and new kids Convextion.

Fabric Club, Farringdon. 11.00pm-8.00am. Tickets £9-£23.

Have a great weekend!
