Liverpool sees another earth shattering line-up as Yousef presents Circus continues its residency at sacred home East Village Arts Club on the final Friday in July. Joining Yousef will be the eagerly awaited debut of Mixmag’s DJ of the year in 2012, and rising star, Solomun, who has yet to grace the Circus decks. Well known for his fusions of deep house with funky basslines and euphoric melodies, Solomun is set to bring his experimental style to Liverpool, where Circus embraces 'serious music and fun times’.
Joining Solomun will be the hugely popular, unprecedented American native Marc Kinchen (aka MK) who looks set to make an impact amongst the Liverpool crowd. As a notorious remixer, MK likes to bring his vintage 90s sounds to the twenty-first century, showcased by his recent collaborations with Hot Creations and mixing the latest Defected compilation. The Circus crowd can look forward to hearing his recent remixes of Lana Del Rey and Sky Ferreira to name a few.
This month, up and coming British artist Sub-Ann brings the freshest electronic beats to the Arts Club. After obtaining a degree at Birmingham University, instead of embracing the traditional student life that many take, Sub-Ann along with friend Adam Shelton set up Below in 2008. It has quickly become one of the UK’s cherished underground music venues with Sub-Ann playing alongside house music titans Sven Vath, Loco Dice and Jamie Jones.
Also joining impressive, prestigious bill are the hugely popular Circus regulars Lewis Boardman and Scott Lewis. As always providing top quality house, tech and electronic music to those who enter the doors of Liverpool’s esteemed Ropewalk’s venue. The club also maintains a foothold in its residency at Egg London in the Capital (we'll have more on that next week), but if that wasn't enough...
Circus finally makes its way over to the Balearics where it is set to hold a Thursday residency at Ibiza’s newest and most talked about venue, Booom! The people of the white isle can take a sigh of relief as the seven week delayed opening of Booom! finally opens its doors to thousands of house-heads, hungry for the same mouth-watering line-ups and high quality dance music to bellow out of its impressive Pioneer music system.
Club-goers of Ibiza can look forward to the same unique, special atmosphere and expect the hottest, most sought-after names across its 14 week residency from the likes of Nick Curly, Adam Shelton, Duke Dumont, Justin Martin and Sasha. The fun kicks off on Thursday 18th July.
