DMX to serve six month prison sentence

Rapper DMX, real name Earl Simmons has been sentenced to six months in jail, following his arrest on charges of unpaid child support in Erie County. Family Court Judge Deanne Tripi gave the order after the troubled rap icon (relive 'X Gonna Give It To Ya' below) failed to follow a previous court order. He'll be held at Erie County Holding Center in Buffalo - a maximum security prison.

A spokesperson from the Sheriff's Office said he was arrested for owing $400,000 in child support, jumping bail and another outstanding arrest warrant. [Source:WIVB]
