illumiNaughty’s reputation for throwing outlandish, extravagant, and downright bonkers parties precedes them. Having hosted a mind melting May Bank Holiday, illumiNaughty return on November 2nd to out do themselves once more and throw the ultimate Halloween extravaganza.
As Manchester’s biggest indoor festival and largest psytrance event in the country outside of London, illumiNaughty will once again be deploying their unparalleled production skills to devastating effect as all the stops are well and truly pulled out for Halloween.
Taking place at Manchester Academy, illumiNaughty have promised a 'metropolis of madness' as a cavalcade of spooks, ghouls, goblins, devils, sprites and gargoyles prepare to populate the four floors of otherworldly oddness.
Killerwatts - Blow Your Mind
The music is looking pretty tasty too. With floors separated under the varying titles using religious iconography including Heaven, Hell, Purgatory and Elysian Fields - the final resting place of heroic and virtuous souls, according to Greek Mythology. For illumiNaughty, Heaven will feature a tantalising line up of trance and psytrance, brought to you from the likes of Killerwatts, Avalon and Tristan amongst others. Expect to be hypnotised by a pounding soundtrack of mesmerizing melodies and brutal beats.
Electrixx Xmas Set 2012
Hell will feature Electrixx, The Freestylers and Hedflux for a full on assault of breaks and electro madness. Purgatory is a welcome return of the speakeasy theme from last Bank Holiday May, which will feature a winning mixture of electro swing and bass music, bringing sounds of the old fiercely up to date. Dutty Moonshine, Ray In The Cloud, Nanook and Emma Clair headline with some of the most intriguing party inducing music you’re like yo hear. The outdoor Elysian Fields will feature a sublime mixture of reggae, ghetto funk and soul, exploring some of the slower tempos so you can catch your breath before returning back to the indoor carnage.
illumiNaughty once again look set to through one of the most creative shows on Manchester's calendar - an essential slice of escapism that will stay with you long afterwards. Essential Halloween business.
