zutekh turns three with Tiefschwarz, Tristan Da Cunha and Adam Shelton

Manchester club night zutekh has earned itself a solid reputation and a legion of dedicated clubbers since it launched in Manchester in September 2008.

So to celebrate three years of amazing parties, zutekh have invited three of the best headliners in the business to play at a special birthday party in Sound Control’s basement.

Taking the reins on the night will be undoubtedly one of the biggest DJ/Production acts to ever come out of electronic music Tiefschwarz... alongside two of the best DJs in the UK; Backtobasics resident Tristan Da Cunha and Below resident Adam Shelton.

In a world of ever- changing trends, the DJ / production duo of Tiefschwarz is the most timeless of acts to grace electronic music; in their 14 year career, brothers Ali and Basti have carved out their style with equal measures of organic sounds and underground depth which has seen them play at every major event in the global techno calendar.

The Berlin based Schwarz brothers’ passion for techno and deep house has seen their studio work released on some of the biggest labels in the industry; with remixes for everyone from Depeche mode, Madonna and Roxy Music to returning to their underground roots and focused their true passion, DJing.

As DJs the pair has travelled the world since 1995, playing at every major event and club to crowds of up to 20,000 people at events such as Timewarp and Melt Festival, Germany, Zouk in Singapore, Berlin’s Watergate Club, fabric in London and seasonally at Cocoon @ Amnesia, Ibiza. This zutekh date will be a very special one-off performance, at which you can see Tiefschwarz for three hours in the intimate basement space of Soundcontrol, Manchester…

Alongside Tiefschwarz, zutekh have not one but two of the best DJs to come out of the UK house music scene in recent years.

Tristan da Cunha learnt his trade by playing week in week out at the legendary Backtobasics parties in Leeds. Still to this day a long standing resident anyone that has Tristan DJ will know that his passion, ear for quality house music and raw talent is second to none!

Adam Shelton needs no introduction the Zutekh regulars after playing some of the best sets that our Manchester crowd has witnessed alongside names such as Lee Foss, Slam and Hector. Adam is now living in Berlin where come fresh from taking his One Records party to Watergate, hosting room 3 at fabric, London and an off-sonar party under the One Illusion brand at W Hotel in Barcelona showing again why he has earned the name as best resident DJ in the current house music generation.
