Spectra is Scotland’s leading Urban Light Festival. Organised by Aberdeen City Council in partnership with arts producers and placemakers Curated Place, SPECTRA will return on the 13-16 February 2020 to light up the winter nights offering an extraordinary experience of light and sound.
SPECTRA will bring together artists, thinkers, musicians and businesses with the public to experience the city at its best with interactive sculptures, architectural projections and experimental music inspired by Scotland’s Year of Coasts and Water. Alongside, the Catalyst Conference will return to connect Scotland’s cultural sector to its counterparts across Nordic Nations and further afield.
In its five years of existence SPECTRA has won numerous national event including The Drum Scottish Event Awards two years in a row, it is referenced in the City’s destination strategy, Events 365 Strategy and Culture Aberdeen, the city’s 10 year cultural strategy.
