Review of Gerry Jablonski & The Electric Band
i remember Jerry from back in the Radars days when he was the guitarist in a blues band, not the vocalist as well. He was a fantastic player dishing out raunchy , heavy blues solos.
i saw him again a few years later when fronting his new "electric band", i did not like it. He had gone off on self indulgent directions and was not for me.
But now and after last night, for me he is back to the heavier blues and you can see how the audience respond and clearly love it.
His drummer is fantastic doing so much more than keeping tempo..really good.
The bass player is solid and the harmonic "harpist" is brilliant.
These musicians were i think al in the early "electric band" except the drummer who replaced the original who had sadly passed away.
if you want to see a great blues band, very charismatic and on top of their game you wont go far wrong with this
