The Anatomy Rooms

The Anatomy Rooms is a unique creative hub providing a range of working spaces, events and projects in support of individual practitioners, groups and arts organisations. The Anatomy Rooms is a unique creative hub providing a range of working spaces in support of individual practitioners, groups and arts organisations. Based around shared and private studio space, the centre’s objectives are to encourage creative production and professional development through the provision of working space, practical guidance, peer-to-peer support and programmed events. The centre comprises of a mix of shared studio rooms, private studios, an open project room and events space, tooled makers workshop, kitchen and dining area and provides high-speed wi-fi throughout with 24/7 access for residents. Situated at the rear of Marischal College, in the former anatomy department of the University of Aberdeen, the centre opened to residents in early 2016. The facility was founded by artist-led Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation ‘All In Ideas’ (SC045962). The fully independent organisation was formed in 2015 to tackle the recognised lack of affordable studio and working space in Aberdeen.
